Beer heaven- that’s the german name of this pleasant place in Kreuzberg’s Oranienstrasse. However,  first of all i’d call it rather CAKE HEAVEN as they have around 10 kinds of majestic cakes, truly worth a king. They all cost 2,50 euro each and there are such marvels as Gooseberry meringue pie with cream, Strawberry curd yogurt, blueberry meringue-cream, a divine carrot cake, chcolate  cake that looks like a chocolate castle.. and the  pieces are  big enough so you really do get satisfaction (even if you think you can’t). The beauty of this, is that you can also order a cake at midnight while sipping whiskey sour and thinking that something is still missing in your life- purchase   more satisfaction for yourself!!
Bierhimmel was founded already 20 years ago and originally gathered qeer public, nowadays everybody’s welcome.
During the day it’s a cosy cafe and in the evening it becomes  a buzzing, busy bar.  There are two rooms: one is more spacious, brighter and non smoking, and the other one is kind of small but it feels more private though, the lights are dimmed, there is a separate bar, and you’re allowed to smoke inside. But you must be prepared it’s very smokey there then.
The choice of drinks is wide, they’re also in favorable prices.
The guests are totally diverse, the staff is very friendly and neat. It’s a nice place to go to before a big party on friday or to talk with your friends in a good atmosphere and drink a swell drink. There is also beer (as the name of the bar announces) that costs very satisfactory- 0.4l of Berliner Pilsner, Astra or Jever (take Jever)  is less than 3 euro.

..and.. don’t forget to taste one of the cakes!

Berlin should be my second name- i like my name too much, however,Berlin is the love of my life. If I leave it than only to have a love affair with another place, but I'll come back. From rock n roll dives to posh champagne bars , open airs, flea markets, bookstores, concept stores, caffes etc- i ve been (almost) everywhere. It's an electric city powered by thousands of different, creative people and it offers infinite cultural possibilities. If u won't fall in love in Berlin like i did, don't miss your chance for a fling at least..
