Artistic escapades of Pawel Zawislak (aka Kropki Kreski)

Paweł Zawiślak’s artistic name is not a conventional phrase. ‘kropki kreski‘ (‘Dots Lines‘) may suggest the use of simple, clean lines and plain dots but the portfolio shows that his work is evidently something different. Color, form, technique, communication – it seems to have no limits, not only in terms of implementation but also in the selection of topics, whether in fashion and lifestyle magazines, such as the renowned Vice, Viva!, Gala, or in cooperation with well-known brands and designers such as Converse, Orska or Polygon. Every commissioned work and illustration meets other requirements, submits to the particular circumstances and at the same time retains their sovereignty through specially chosen techniques. The Polish Institute in Berlin presents to the Berlin audience an unprecedented, comprehensive overview of his artistic work. The exhibition will include both a wide range of commissioned projects as well as many independent individual works. Starting from realistic color mapping meadows with flowers and ending with the distressing black-and-white visions, the viewer is invited to travel to a surreal wonderland of drawings by the accomplished artist.

Paweł Zawiślak (born 1983 in Warsaw) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. He worked for many well-known companies from various branches, including H & M. He collaborated with designers in Moscow, Prague and Budapest.

Berlin should be my second name- i like my name too much, however,Berlin is the love of my life. If I leave it than only to have a love affair with another place, but I'll come back. From rock n roll dives to posh champagne bars , open airs, flea markets, bookstores, concept stores, caffes etc- i ve been (almost) everywhere. It's an electric city powered by thousands of different, creative people and it offers infinite cultural possibilities. If u won't fall in love in Berlin like i did, don't miss your chance for a fling at least..
