Whitsun in Berlin, also called Pfingsten or Pentecost is yet another long spring weekend in Berlin associated, but different from the famous Berlin festival-the Carnival of Cultures. Whitsun is a religious celebration in Berlin that simply coincides with the dates of the Carnival of Cultures. It is a super chill and fun event and it is excatly what you need to unwine and leave your cares in the past (at least for a weekend that is). It is pretty much as big as Easter. During the celebration weekend all churches in Berlin will be open to visitors and anybody can do a tour. Some of the churches around are very old and full of history and amazing architecture.

For the ones of you that will be spending the whole weekend here, there are tons of promotions and discounted packages that include not only your bed, but also your breakfast, lunch and dinner.

You might want to save some room for all the street foods that are usually sold out during the weekend celebrations.

Hello Berlin explorers, I am Tia (short for Teodora, 28) and I am very excited to share my unique and local experience of this amazing city. I've lived all over the German capital and I am a big fan of each and every borough. I hope, through my reviews, you will get to experience the true Berlin and become a fan as well.
