The food itself is international in style and simply great for the price YOU choose to pay. Dinner menu varies between mouth-watering soups, gormet risotto and veggie stews, to tantalizing pasta and fish entrees.
The Weinerei is big, comfortable, and stuffy when busy (almost always busy though). A Tuesday night could be as busy as a Friday or a Saturday night. There is a high chance you might see the same people during lunch and dinner times.
The wine bar is on the left at the entrance and the food bar is at the end of the big hall, presented in a buffet style. There is a standard 2 euro fee for the first glass of wine and from there on YOU start counting what YOU drink and eat. The choice of wine is relatively good-nice roses, dry white and red wines and a superb sauvignon blanc (my personal favorite).
Weinerei is a local heaven spot, hidden from the tourist world and so worth checking out. There are two bartenders that explain the rules at the entrance. They also DO expect you to pay, so make sure you actually leave money in the fish bowl.
