Cafe Baretto is a cosy, hard to spot, little coffee place located on Wrangelstrasse, Kreuzberg.

The cafe welcomes you with a long and narrow inside space provided with a good amount of seating spots. Strong and delicious coffees are the best thing about Baretto. Literary every second person that comes in is a regular and praises the quality of the coffee. Italian inspired espresso drinks, toasts, paninis, focaccia and delicious home made pastries and cakes are the main focus. Soft drinks and beers are also a go. A variety of herbal teas are available as well.

The staff is great and professional, the food is yummy and the music is calm. My experience with the place tells me they prepare the food and drinks with love and attention.

Monday mornings are their busiest time of the day, while the afternoons are more laid back. In any case, Baretto is the perfect spot to enjoy a great cup of coffee in a quiet environment.

At noon there is a small but delightful lunch menu (home made soups, pastas and salads). The price for those is between 4-6 euro. No wi-fi connection, but instead you can sit around with a newspaper, a book or just a friend and enjoy a face to face communication.

For over 10 euro tabs you can pay with a credit/debit card, for anything less cash is the norm.

A small outside seating is great in the summer days, but enjoyed mostly by the smokers at winter times.
