already somewhere between Poland and Turkey? (the name of this district has nothing in common with weddings..and actually in german we spell it with V) It’s quite similar to Neukoelln with the ethnicity of its inhabitants, Neukoelln became already hipster though and Wedding is still a surprise.
However, thtat’s not a problem for you. Come inside to Fos Bar and feel like it’s Berlin again. It’s always busy, the atmosphere is great, always full with international crowd, loads of french people, the music is always just perfect, on Mondys they organize Bingo plays, during which, if you guess the numbers wrongly, you have to sing karaoke to the song of your choice, and if you win you get free vodka shot.
Saturdays appear in a French special night edition- there is cheese, baguette and red wine for 1 euro. You may get an impression it’s too full to take a step inside, but don’t be afraid and become a part of Wedding’s Bohemia.
The interior reminds a little bit of a cosy cave. It’s dark, empty wine bottles are substitutes for traditional candlesticks, cigarette smoke blur people’s faces and make everyone looks more mysterious , the furniture is a bit scrappy but it feels unbelievably authentic and cosy indeed! It’s a nice diversion from Kreuzberg, Neukolln or Friedrichshain. Wedding is still the district that haven’t been totally conquered by hipsters, yet Fos Bar gathers the coolest selection of Berlin’s citizens.
….And they have an amazing selection of beers- 26 sorts of it, so come and taste the all time favourite- cherry beer!!
